Meljen's Designs Challenge #178 ~ Take Five!

Good Morning!

Today, I am bringing you my Design Team Card for this week's Meljen's Challenge! This week it's Take Five (use five elements on your project that are the same)! You can enter the challenge and view all the fantastic design teams creations HERE!

I have chosen Monkey Toes COLOR as my Meljen's Digi! I have ben so unwell this week and didn't have a lot of time so this pre-coloured image was perfect for a quick card! My five elements are the buttons and the "Cheeky Monkey" stamp is from Kaszazz and I thought it suited this theme well!

I used all Kaszazz products...the base is oatmeal cardstock, 5 buttons, and brown organdy ribbon :) I am really happy with the way it turned out!

So make sure you go and enter this week for your chance to win some gorgeous Meljen's Designs Digis of your own and why not join the fun on Facebook in the Meljen's Designs Club :)

My first DT Day post for Meljen's!

Today my first DT Day post has gone live on the Meljen's Design Team and Challenge Blog...you can check it out here!

On the weekend my mum and I had one of our regular mother-daughter craft days and we decided to work on some Baby Shower invites for a friend! Her Baby theme is Monkeys and I knew that Meljen's Digi Monkey Toes would be just perfect for this cute little project!

The image has been coloured in with Copic Markers, and the invite has been embellished with a little brown plaid bow, which compliments Monkey Toes perfectly! Please excuse the writing at the bottom, for privacy I have blanked out some details :) I can't wait to see what she thinks and to hear what you think of this cute little invite!

I hope you have enjoyed my first DT Day Post! Join in the fun on the Meljen's Designs Club Facebook Group and why not check out the SHOP you never know what might inspire you, there really is something for everyone!

Robot Birthday!!!

As promised, here I am with another blog post! This time I decided to make a card for a little boys birthday!

Hubby and I are trying to conceive a baby and for fun we often go and have a look at baby shops! I just love little robots and dinosaurs and although a healthy baby is all that matters, there are some really cute boys themes out, I think the days of me desperately wanting a little girl, mini me are past me, I really would be happy with either!!!

I am also in love with Meljen's Designs Digis and just had to buy a couple more, I could not resist Robbie the Robot!! He goes perfectly with the Little Yellow Bicycle - Fern & Forest Boy DSP I recently bought from my local scrapbooking shop Arnolds!

Again I have coloured with Copics, embellished with coordinating satin ribbon from Stampin' Up, added some fun little spiral clips from my stash, and finished it off with a bit of glossy accents on his 'buttons' and Platinum Liquid Pearl on the little dots.

With the current Meljen's Designs Challenge ~ Doodling in mind when creating, I have added the sentiment and stitched edging by hand with a Black Permaball Marker!

So that's it, a simple but very cute card for a little boy's birthday! I had so much fun making this card, I hope you enjoyed reading all about it!

Fuzzer the Monster - Birthday Card!

It's been a while since I have blogged! I have been focusing more on my Facebook page Handmade by Melinda Jane! But seeing as though my mum was coming over to craft I left the theme of today's crafting session up to her. She really wanted to make a card to submit to Meljen's Designs current challenge Recycled!

I just love Meljen's Designs Digis! They are so cute and I have been wanting to use Fuzzer the Monster for a while! I am quite out of practice with using Copic Markers though because I usually use PrismaColor Premier Pencils. But it was a nice change and I really didn't do that bad!!!

The real challenge was the "Recycled" component! I decided to use recycled card stock, leftover scrap pieces and some calico scraps I had lying around! I just love the end result!

Thanks for stopping by!!!!

Happy 3rd Birthday Isaac!

Back again today with another post! I have a busy weekend next weekend with my Mum's 50th Birthday, my nephew Isaac's 3rd Birthday and my sister leaves for Europe for two years! Then I start back at work on the Monday :S That means I have been busy crafting cards for all those occassions this weekend, and I'm still not finished!!!

The birthday boy, Isaac, love love loves Dinosaurs and so I found this cute little pyjama set from target which has a dinosaur on the front. I really struggled to find a suitable stamp to match it so, I thought why not draw it myself (I'm not too bad at drawing when I have something to look at!)!!

So, I sat down with his pyjama set and my pencil and paper and drew a beautiful dinosaur to match! I'm really happy with the outcome and I know he is just going to love it and treasure it!!! I used Prisma Pencils to colour it in, Stampin Up cardstock and the sentiment comes from a Stampin' Up Dinosaur set!

I kept the card very simple because I wated my fabulous artwork to be the focal point (and besides that took long enough lol)!!! I took a photo of it with the shirt so you can see how great my drawing skills are hehe...I can't wait to give it to him, so, here it is...
